Who doesn't have CHIKKI! We all have grown up on it and the love for chikki is only growing. It totally should because it is such a mindful snack created by some wonderful grandmother decades ago (we hope!) While it originally had only and purely the nut and jaggery as key ingredients, on its way to becoming an accessible snack, it went through a whole lot of alterations. what we didn't appreciate is the addition of glucose syrups, preservatives, bad oil, etc. And therefore, we decided to bring back the original while adding a kick to it : we used almonds instead of peanuts along with a simple, wholesome addition of poppy seeds and spices! And, we also deconstructed it to handle portion size better.
